| We are located in central Maine and right in the heart of smallmouth bass country and close to the famous Kennebec river which produces trophy sized trout, landlocked salmon and "smallies" on a regular basis. Ride with a second generation registered Maine guide as we motor our way up and down secluded portions of nearby rivers, lakes and streams, or ride through the extremely remote logging roads seeking out hidden pools and ponds in search of your trophy. I have several methods I use to make sure you connect with your trophy, and to make sure you enjoy your trip fully. Generally I like to deploy my comfortable 17' lund in one of the many lakes or rivers in the area, and depending on your preferences, or species you desire, I am equipped with downriggers and lead lines to troll for those big fish that like to go deep such as togue (lake trout) or browns. The bow also makes a great place to cast a fly, or a spinning rod depending on your preference. Of course if you're in search of the small native brook trout that like to hide in the cool, remote streams we can search them out along the many miles of gravel roads that run through the wilderness. Our cabin is located not even 2 miles off of I-95. We are within three miles of a hospital, a motel, grocery store, etc. yet you can often spend all day out on the river without seeing another person. The conditions up here often allow these fish to grow to trophy size, and you can fish while enjoying the local nature such as bald eagles, waterfowl, deer, beaver, mink and the occasional moose. |
