About us
	Neither of us were raised on a farm, but have long been fascinated with the self sustainability and way of life small-scale farming had to offer. Fed up with mass marketing, repulsive living conditions of commercially raised animals, and mediocre quality of products; we ventured off and jumped in with both feet and no experience!   We gained valuable knowledge from the infinate wisdom and experience of local farmers and through many, many mistakes. Initially, we had no intention of turning our home-grown products into a business, but with positive feedback from family, friends, and each other we decided to give it a try.  Carrie is a nursing tech at the local hospital and Dan is a registered Maine guide and a reserve officer with the Pittsfield Police Dept.  We have a beautiful two year old daughter named Danielle (Dani) and hope that one day she will share the same passion for the outdoors and farming that we do.
